This FREE, 90-day program is currently available to SWFL and Tampa Veterans. Warrior Health & Fitness is designed to help Veterans improve their physical health and well-being through supervised physical exercise, nutrition, stress management and the benefits of a healthy lifestyle.
You are invited to join Warrior Health and Fitness. Warrior Health and Fitness is a FREE, three-month program aimed at improving your physical health and well- being through:
- Supervised physical exercise, education about healthy eating, stress management and the health benefits of physical activity.
The overall goal of Warrior Health and Fitness is to empower Warriors and their spouses to take control of their physical well-being. Utilizing trainers, registered dieticians, and mental skills coaches, PGA instructors; Warrior Health and Fitness Program experience includes:
- Custom Fitness Evaluation and Regimen Design
- Nutritional Consultations with Registered Dietitians
- Warrior Yoga
- Meditation
- Membership to Greater Naples YMCA (3 months while active and 3 more months upon graduation)
- Health Education
- 3-month Follow-up
Home Base does not consider discharge status to qualify for participation in Warrior Health and Fitness. All services provided by Home Base are at no cost to the Veteran and Family Member.
It is strongly encouraged that the participants attend at least 3 training sessions per week but no less than 1. Because food is fuel and nutrition are a vital part of getting to your goals, participants will be required to meet at least 3 times with the registered dietitian in person or over the phone with the initial assessment beginning within 30 days of clearance and then recommended monthly one-on-one nutritional consultation sessions.
